Millwall may have been dismantled 4-0 at Craven Cottage by a slick Fulham side on Wednesday, but Lions fans remained level headed post defeat.


Despite a positive start to the season, picking up seven points from nine, even the most optimistic of Millwall fan would know the challenge that lay in wait in West London.
Fresh from relegation, but with a squad laden with proven Premiership quality, the gulf in class was evident as Scott Parker's men ripped up the OPTA stat records book and put themselves in the same category as a Barcelona in the possession department.

Finishing on an all-time OPTA high of 85%, the 4-0 scoreline seemed to flatter the Lions. 
A goal from Ivan Cavaleiro either side of an Anthony Knockhaert header and an Aleksander Mitrovic penalty gave Fulham a deserved three points as they look to make good their promotion favourites tag. 
Millwall boss Neil Harris was full of praise for his conquerors post-match, as was the vast majority Lions fans who could see the gulf in financial outlay was evident on the pitch.
