JOHANN Berg Gudmundsson is the latest Claret to be called up for Euro 2020 qualifying duty after being confirmed in Iceland's squad for their upcoming fixtures.

The Burnley winger is part of a 25-man squad named for Iceland's Group H matches at home to Albania and Turkey.

Iceland – who have won one and lost one of their first two fixtures – face Albania in Reykjavic on Saturday, 8 June and Turkey at the same venue on Tuesday, 11 June.

Gudmundsson will be looking to add to his 72 caps and help Iceland stay in contention for a place in the finals for the second successive time following their memorable run to the quarter-finals at France 2016.

He joins Burnley team mates Tom Heaton, Kevin Long, Robbie Brady, Jeff Hendrick and Matej Vydra on international duty in the Euro qualifiers, while Dwight McNeil is part of the England Under-20 squad which kicks off its Toulon Tournament campaign against Japan in southern France on Saturday afternoon.
