MATEJ VYDRA

The 27-year-old striker has been unlucky in his time so far at Burnley, given the form of the first choice partnership in Ashley Barnes and Chris Wood - both of who have hit double figures in the Premier League this season. The Czech was signed from Derby County last summer after having been the Championship's top goalscorer. As proved when he was introduced at Goodison Park on Friday night, Vydra offers something different to that of Barnes and Wood. He can run the channels and is an outlet for his midfielders. He should have been awarded a penalty when ex-Claret Michael Keane pushed him over in the penalty area. Sean Dyche has a reputation for developing players at Turf Moor in to becoming key players - Keane and James Tarkowski are examples of this. I can see Dyche handing Vydra a start against Arsenal on the final day of the season to see what he can do.

BIG SUMMER

With one game remaining this season, there is one thing that has come in to the thoughts of fans from all the clubs - the transfer window. Sean Dyche and his Burnley squad have been extremely unlucky with the amount of injuries he has had to contend with this season, putting it down to them starting pre-season early and having to play competitive Europa League matches when they should have been playing friendlies to gain fitness for the upcoming season. Main fans were disappointed when the January transfer window closed as the Clarets' only business was the incoming Peter Crouch - once Sam Vokes had gone the other way to Stoke City. Dyche will be wary that he won't want another repeat of this season - having to deal with injuries and not having the squad that can cope with that. Burnley are notoriously known as one of the best run clubs in England's top flight, so it will be interesting to see what the hierarchy decide to do this summer with regards the transfer window.

SECOND HALF OF THE SEASON

When Everton turned up at Turf Moor on Boxing Day and came away 5-1 winners, things were looking ominous for Burnley. They were in the relegation zone with just 12 points from 19 games. Since then, they have amassed a superb 28 points to drag themselves to a fourth consecutive season in England's elite division. The Clarets have beaten Tottenham and earned draws at Manchester United and Chelsea. They have gone back to being the team that no one likes to play against with the tough backline - marshalled by Ben Mee - to Ashley Barnes leading the line. This is the Burnley that earned a Europa League place last season and will expect to climb the table next season.
