Darragh Lenihan will hope to shake off a bout of illness to feature for Rovers at Norwich this weekend.

The Republic of Ireland international captained the side in the Easter Monday win over Bolton and has started the last six matches after returning from a knee injury.

However, the 25-year-old has struggled with illness since the win over Wanderers, but is expected to train in advance of Rovers’ trip to Carrow Road.

Tony Mowbray will be keen to have the defender available having been a key part of the team’s defensive improvement which has seen them concede just twice in their last four matches.

Richie Smallwood wasn’t included in the matchday squad against Bolton on Monday but has been struggling with a tight calf which will be assessed before a decision is taken over any possible involvement at Carrow Road.

Craig Conway returned to the squad against Bolton, after a thigh injury, though Harrison Reed (ankle), Dominic Samuel (knee) and Ben Gladwin (knee) remain out.

“We’re waiting on one or two,” Mowbray said.

“We will have to wait and see.

“There’s three or four who are struggling.

“But I’m sure they will be okay by the weekend and we’ll be close to having what we had in the last game.”
