RADCLIFFE AC’s Lisa Carter travelled to the Lake District for the challenging 11.5-mile Newlands Memorial Fell Race and finished in 3hrs 22mins 5secs

Elsewhere, eight runners faced hot and sunny conditions at the popular Salford 10k on Good Friday and Ian Warrington was first across the line for Radcliffe in 42:50.

Katie Percival ran 43:58, Amanda Callan finished in 49:25 and Peter Cook came home in 49:26.

Sheila Jones clocked 50:12 to finish second Vet 60, while Amanda Hey ran 53:10, Deborah Warrington finished in 1:04:31 and Vince Ashton came home in 1:05:01.

Eleven Radcliffe runners were among the 409-strong field at Rivington Pike fell race on Saturday.

Robert Short finished 47th in 22:14, while Alan Sumner was third Vet 75 in 35:43.

Sarah Oxley travelled to Staffordshire for the Chasewater Easter Egg 10k trail race and clocked 1:07:29 on the undulating, two-lap course around Chasewater reservoir.

Ten were at the final race of the midweek Curley’s 5k Race Trail Series in Horwich.

Lee Cooper led Radcliffe home in 22:59, finishing 20th overall at the end of the three-race series,

Elaine Bailey ran the challenging course in 31:07, claiming second Vet 60 in the series.

Also completing all three races were Kathryn Prince (30:31), Karen Doherty (32:56), Sarah Rushton (33:50) and Tracy Wroe (36:11).

Other Radcliffe runners who also took part in the final race were Mark Garner (24:31), Dave Rushton (25:56), Andy Wheeler (34:34) and Iain Harris (35:34).

Parkrun tourist Vince Ashton notched up his 70th location, running 31:33 at Pendle, while Sheila Jones finished Fell Foot parkrun in the Lake District in

31:33.

At Lancaster parkrun, Mauro Rotondi ran 23:34 and Christine Berry clocked 40:39.

Paul Barrington completed his 60th parkrun with a time of 23:45 at Bolton.

It was the first running of Bolton’s re-vamped course and Lucy Tetler finished in 33:23.

Tracy Wroe headed to Heaton Park for her 40th parkrun, clocking 30:49, while junior Noah Barrington ran a personal best of 23:52.
