Ryan Nyambe has signed a new deal at Rovers.
The full back has put pen-to-paper on a contract through to the summer of 2021.
His previous deal, signed in 2017, was set to expire next summer, though did include the option of a further 12 months.
But having continued to be a regular in the side, the homegrown full back has been rewarded with a new contract.
Nyambe has struggled with hamstring injuries during the past two years, but has still made 29 Championship appearances this season, and returned to the side for the Easter Monday win over Bolton.
Namibian-born Nyambe, who could feature in this summer’s African Cup of Nations, has played 97 times for Rovers in all competitions since his debut in the league cup against Shrewsbury in August 2015.
