ROVERS boss Tony Mowbray admitted his side feel as though they have let themselves down in recent months.

Mowbray's men went on a run of just one win in 11 matches after they won four on the bounce in January.

Rovers have now registered their first back-to-back wins since the turn of the year after wins against Derby and Nottingham Forest.

"We feel as though we’ve let ourselves down the last couple of months because we were right on the cusp of the play-offs and getting about one and a half points a game if you balance it all out," said Mowbray.

"Then for two months, we had 11 games and we managed to win one match. Generally, a soft under belly, we let too many soft goals in.

"We lost our key defender – he’s back now and that’s stopped. We had a clean sheet against Derby and a goalkeeping error today with the goal that we lost.

"We’re fine and we’ve always felt we’re fine in this division. It was about acclimatising back in to the Championship -this is practically the team that played in League One for us.

"They’re doing great and yet I feel if we’re going to be right at the top end of the Championship next season then we need to find some players who are competing with this lot to give us more depth for when the injuries do come along."
