David Raya 5
Won’t want to see Wednesday’s fourth goal again and was left helpless for the other three. Had just one shot to save from Adam Reach, the goals apart.
Ryan Nyambe 6
Looked better defensively at right back up against Aarons having started on the right of a back three. Giving his all in trying conditions at the back.
Tyler Magloire 6
A tough baptism away from home for the 20-year-old. Lost Fletcher for the opener, but generally stuck to his task well in open play.
Derrick Williams 4
Rovers needed more from their most experience defender on the day who couldn’t stop an Iorfa cross for the opening goal, and almost gifted Reach a goal in the first half with a poor pass.
Elliott Bennett 7
Lashed home his first of the season but was too little too late. Defended well against Reach and kept going to the end, winning an impressive seven tackles and five interceptions. Proved to be a useful outlet on the left.
Harrison Reed 5
Saw plenty of the ball, and while tidy enough with it, couldn’t provide a threat in the final third. Replaced midway through the second half.
Corry Evans 5
Didn't seem up to the pace of the game at times, possibly because of a knock he sustained which puts his international involvement next week in doubt having been substituted.
Lewis Travis 7
Gave Rovers a drive from the middle of the pitch and was strong in the tackle. Has to be considered first choice in the position.
Joe Rothwell 7
Plenty of good, but let some of that work down with his final touch. Always looked to be positive and pass forward though, and linked up well with Dack. Set up the goal for Conway and created a good opening for Graham.
Bradley Dack 7
Drew two saves from Westwood in the first half and was at the heart of most good things from Rovers. Set up Bennett’s goal and went close to one of his one only Hector to put in the block. Did spend a little too long protesting at the referee though, and body language not always positive.
Danny Graham 5
Had one excellent chance in the second half when heading wide a Rothwell cross after good work initially to find him. Got little success in the first period in particular.
Subs
Craig Conway (for Reed, 55) 6
Tucked home his third of the season with a first time left foot finish
John Buckley (for Evans, 68) 7
Lost one tackle in midfield, but the teenager showed flashes of what he can offer on a promising debut.
Adam Armstrong (for Graham, 68) 6
A good touch in the lead up to Conway’s goal, but no sight of goal after coming on.
