BURNLEY midfielder Jack Cork is confident his side can bounce back after three defeats in a row.

The Clarets come up against Leicester at Turf Moor today - now managed by Cork's old boss Brendan Rodgers.

Cork added Rodgers was a big help in pushing to where he is today in his career.

"I like to think so, we’re not a team that ever rolls over," said the midfielder.

"We keep fighting, we have games that don’t go for us - like the Palace game at the weekend.

"We were on top of the game for the last period, we’ve just got to take our chances. Not many teams come to Liverpool and score two goals. We should be ok.

"Three home games out of four against teams that aren’t in the top six should be a good chance for us to get some points.

"We will be looking for them because we have got a tough end to the season.

"Especially at home, we know we’re a tough game anyone. If we get early goals then we’re a hard team to beat."

Cork will come up against Rodgers today, he knows the Leicester boss well from his time at Chelsea and Watford.

"He’s at Leicester now isn’t he. That’ll be nice, I haven’t seen him for a while. I had him at Chelsea and Watford," he said.

"He’s done well, he’s had a great career in management now, hopefully he’s successful at Leicester - just not against us.

"He’s done brilliant and I owe a lot to him for the early part of my career. He taught me a lot about my game at a young age.

"I learnt a hell of a lot and he brought through a lot of good players in the youth team.

"He gave me a chance at Watford to play first team football at a good level. I’ll always be grateful for that."

The midfielder highlighted how Rodgers' strength's as a coach come through his man-management.

"He was good. He had good man-to-man management, always checking to see how you and your family was," said Cork.

"He was really confident in the way he brought football across and the way he wanted to do things.

"It gave you confidence to do it on the pitch. He’s a great manager, who learnt form a lot of good managers at Chelsea. He’s someone who’s always constantly trying to improve."
