BURNLEY are waiting on the fitness of winger Johann Berg Gudmundsson for the trip to Watford while boss Sean Dyche is hopeful at least one of his right backs will be fit.

Phil Bardsley played in last weekend's win over Fulham but he and Matt Lowton, who was an unused sub, are both carrying knocks.

Steven Defour and Stephen Ward are in contention after featuring in the Lancashire Senior Cup win over Fleetwood Town earlier this week but Nick Pope, who played 90 minutes in that tie, is not expected to feature in the 18.

"We’re waiting on Johann," said Dyche. "He’s getting better but it’ll be a judgement tomorrow.

"Bardo’s still got a bit of a knock although he managed to get through last week, so too Lowton, we are hopeful on both but very hopeful on one being fit.

"Steven got 75 minutes in an Under-23 game so he is continuing to get back right. Wardy is the same.

"Popey’s had another full game. He’s not there yet but looking well and enjoying his training. He’s at the end of his pre-season so we will keep monitoring that."

Aaron Lennon remains sidelined with a knee injury while Robbie Brady sits out the third and final game of his suspension following his sending off against Huddersfield.
