Rovers are the ‘shining light’ of the three promoted teams, according to Rotherham boss Paul Warne.

The Millers were promoted alongside Rovers, after beating Shrewsbury in the play-off final, and are now 18th in the table, three points and two places behind League One champions Wigan.

Rovers sit eighth going in to tomorrow’s game and Warne has been impressed with what he has seen from Tony Mowbray’s side, and highlighted the influence of Bradley Dack who scored his ninth of the season last weekend.

Warne said: “I’m expecting a tough game as I do every week.

“With Dack playing as a 10, he’s one of the outstanding players in the Championship this season. Out of the three teams that got promoted, they’re the shining light.”

Rotherham will be without midfielder Will Vaulks (suspended) as they chase a first Championship away win since April 2016.

But after recent draws at Middlesbrough and Preston, Warne added: “I’ve said no end of times that performances are good but it’s points that matter. I think the lads have a bit more confidence ahead of away games.”

“We haven’t got Will available because of suspension and that’s a bit of a blow. I’ve always said it’s next man up and there’s no issues there.”
