ACCRINGTON Stanley continued their fine start to life in League One with a 1-0 victory at Walsall.
Billy Kee got the only goal of the game from the penalty spot on seven minutes after Seamus Conneely was felled.
But the Reds were indebted to goalkeeper Connor Ripley for preserving the points and ensuring John Coleman's side kept their first clean sheet of the season.
The Middlesbrough loanee made several key saves as Stanley won for the fourth time in 10 league games.
The result moved the Reds into eighth, one point outside the top six, and stretched their unbeaten league run to nine.
Stanley return to action on Tuesday night when they welcome third-placed Doncaster Rovers to the Wham Stadium.
