SEAN Dyche insists Joe Hart has nothing to prove to him after a fine start to his Clarets career.

The £4million signing of the experienced Hart raised a few eyebrows this summer, with the England international enduring a turbulent couple of years in loan spells away from Manchester City, at Torino and West Ham.

With Hart keen to leave the Etihad Stadium on a permanent basis Burnley swooped following the dislocated shoulder suffered by Nick Pope at Aberdeen.

Hart has taken his chance of a fresh start, impressing for the Clarets and keeping the gloves ahead of Tom Heaton in the early weeks of the season.

His form has led to talk of a potential England recall, after the 75-cap stopper lost his place during his difficult spell with the Hammers.

Hart is certainly proving the critics who were writing him off wrong with his displays for Burnley, but Dyche said he had nothing to prove to him following his summer move.

"I don’t think he’s got anything to prove, he might feel he has himself, I don’t know, I’ve not really spoken to him about it," Dyche said.

“I certainly don’t think so. We have a great situation with Tom Heaton, who’s a fantastic pro and keeper and continues to be so, Popey will recover at some point, and Joe Hart.

“He showed on Sunday he’s a fine, fine keeper, without a doubt."
