ISTANBUL Basaksehir coach Abdullah Avci insists the pressure is all on Burnley tonight ahead of the decisive Europa League tie.

After a goalless draw in Turkey in the first leg of the third qualifying round fixture, the Clarets return to Turf Moor knowing victory in front of their own fans will see them through.

But Avci said Burnley had got what they wanted at the Fatih Terim Stadium last week, but they would feel a different pressure now they were obliged to make the running in the game.

"In the first game Burnley got what they wanted because they had no obligation to win," Avci said in a press conference at Turf Moor on Wednesday night.

"Now they have the obligation to win so I’m expecting them to play in a different way.

"In the first game we had more possession of the ball and we dominated the game.

"We’re aware there will be supporter pressure here (for us), even while playing at home we felt the pressure of their supporters, they supported the team very well in Istanbul.

"But we have a group who of players who can handle this pressure. We want to have the possession of the ball.

"I have total confidence in my team and I believe we will qualify. We have the power and the quality to do that."

Avci expects to see a direct approach from the Clarets once again, having spoken of their use of the long ball after the stalemate last week.

"Burnley is a team that play an old style of English football, which is direct with long balls and not leaving the centre empty," he said.

"They always try to keep the centre crowded with their players. Probably this is what they will do tonight.

"But I watched their last game against Southampton and when they passed the halfway line they tried to play, we know when to play and when to press. We’re ready for all the circumstances."

Avci will have to do without Holland winger Eljero Elia, who picked up an injury in the 2-0 league win over Trabzonspor at the weekend.

Former Premier League hotshot Emmanuel Adebayor played the final 13 minutes of that game, scoring the second late on, but Avci will make a late call over his availability at Turf Moor.

"Eljero Elia is not going to play tomorrow because in the last league game he suffered an injury," he said.

"With Adebayor I’m going to speak to him before the game and see his situation."
