THERE will be no Istanbul Basaksehir fans at Turf Moor tomorrow night after the Turkish club decided not to sell any tickets to their own fans.

That decision has forced officials at Burnley to only sell tickets in the home areas to supporters with a Clarets number and a purchase history as they seek to comply with UEFA rules.

There were only around 4,000 Basakshekir fans in attendance at the first leg of the third qualifying round tie at the Fatih Terim Stadium last week.

With officials at the Turkish Super Lig club deciding not to sell any tickets for the return leg at Turf Moor, Burnley have taken the decision to close the away end.

A Burnley Football Club spokesman said: "Due to Istanbul Basaksehir’s decision not to sell tickets to any of their supporters, the visiting section at Turf Moor will be closed for Thursday night’s Europa League tie.

"No tickets will therefore be sold to any visiting fans for any area of the ground.

"And to comply with UEFA regulations regarding segregation, any supporter buying tickets for the home section must have a Clarets number as a member with a previous buying history at the club.

"Security and safety of all supporters attending Turf Moor is paramount at all times.

"Burnley Football Club apologises for any inconvenience this may cause and thanks you for your support."
