DARWEN kept the pressure on Lancashire League leaders Walsden with a commanding eight wicket victory over Crompton.

The visitors were skittled out for just 70 as Darwen pro Calvin Savage took 6-29.

The home side made light work of the chase with opener Reece Davies hitting 42 as they got home inside 10 overs.

Walsden maintained their perfect start with a seven wicket win at home East Lancs.

The visitors made just 76, Harry Caton top scoring with 20, and the leaders chased down their target inside 20 overs.

Francois Haasbroek made a superb 80 to help Lowerhouse, shorn of injured pro Ockert Erasmus, to a five wicket win over Great Harwood.

Earlier, Matthew Oddie made 55 in the visitors' total of 168-8 but it was not enough.

Struggling Bacup fell to a 134-run defeat to Rochdale for who professional Edward Moore hit an unbeaten 132 off just 120 balls to anchor a total of 218-6.

Bacup were never in the chase and were bowled out for just 84.

Johnny Riekert hit 105 not out, Levi Wolfenden an unbeaten 58 and opener Josh Scully made 51 to help Church to victory over Todmorden.

The hosts made 235-2 and that proved enough despite professional Ryan Canning hitting 62 for Tod as they fell 36 runs short.

Defending champions Clitheroe picked up a much needed win as they beat Enfield by eight wickets.

Captain Jack Dewhurst made 54 as Clitheroe chased down Enfield's 151-9. Shashrika Pussegolla made 69 not out for the home side while visiting pro Fawad Alam claimed 5-48.

Kieren Grimshaw’s 69 helped Accrington to a seven wicket win over Middleton as Accy chased down their target of 135 while 89 from Colne pro James Price helped his side to a high scoring win at Milnrow.

The home side made 240-4 but Colne chased down their target for the loss of four wickets with more than four overs to spare.

Nelson opener David Crotty made a super unbeaten 104 to help his side to victory at home to Littleborough.

Pro Reeza Hendricks weighed in with 81 as Nelson chased down their target of 213-6 for the loss of just two wickets.

Ramsbottom’s strong start to the season continued as they beat Norden by four wickets while Haslingden beat Rawtenstall and bottom club Rishton stunned Burnley.
