MARK Hughes has accused the football world of turning a blind eye to the horror tackle that left Robbie Savage with a broken leg.
Savage fractured his right fibula following a challenge by Watford's Al Bangura on Tuesday night, but the media and the football authorities have been slow to condemn Bangura, who has still to apologise.
"If Robbie Savage committed a foul like that I'm sure something would have come of it, but it's been swept under the table and nobody is going to make an issue of it," said Hughes.
It has even been suggested in some quarters that Savage had it coming to him', which has stunned the Rovers chief.
"That's an opinion but it's a crazy one," rapped Hughes.
"Robbie's never gone out to deliberately injure anyone."
