Steve Cotterill admits the right-back position remains a problem area for his Burnley side.

Frank Sinclair is available for selection for tonight's game against Leeds after completing a one-game ban.

He is expected to fight for the right-back spot with Steve Foster, who stepped in during Saturday's 2-1 defeat to Birmingham.

But Cotterill said: "At the moment, the right-back scenario is a problem and we are still ongoingly looking at that."

"We are trying to get by and trying different options to see who can be the best there and that may change from game to game depending on who is playing left wing (for the opposition).

"It's been a bit of a problem for us. We know that.

"That's why we went out to get Phil Bardsley last season.

"There were no right-backs ready and available in the summer, certainly not for the money that we could have afforded."

Cotterill added: "At this moment in time, our best right-back is playing centre-half.

"It would be an easy cop-out, a chicken's way out for a manager, to put Michael Duff to right-back at the moment.

"I won't do that because, quite simply, Michael has been our best central defender this season."
