Burnley fans felt they should have had a penalty in the second-half of the Birmingham game - but boss Steve Cotterill was unsure.
Blues defender Radhi Jaidi climbed over Gifton Noel-Williams in the box, but referee Kevin Wright was not swayed by the crowd's shouts for a spot kick.
Cotterill said: "Sometimes you do get them at home, but I'm not upset that we haven't got a penalty, otherwise I would have said something.
"To be honest, we count on not having penalties at Burnley because we haven't had one this season.
"But I don't think the referee had anything to do with the game today.
"He did not influence the result. We just have to move on."
