ACCRINGTON Stanley manager John Coleman admitted "the best team won" as his side slipped to a fifth straight league defeat at fellow strugglers Grimsby Town on Saturday.
"They created more chances, they were sharper than us, they competed a little bit better than us and Ian Dunbavin kept us in the game," he said.
But the Reds boss contested some of the officials' decisions, which he felt could have been crucial to the outcome.
"Once again we've probably got the short straw with the decisions. They scored a goal that looked a mile offside to me and we scored a goal that gets disallowed.
"When we see them back on the video we'll know whether they were true or not but things like that just don't seem to be going our way at the moment.
"Sometimes that happens to you when you're in a bad spell, and that's certainly happening to us.
"But on the balance of the game, I could have no complaints about the defeat."
