A FORMER England manager has backed on-loan Accrington Stanley winger Gary Roberts to have a bright future.
Sir Bobby Robson has been impressed by the 22-year-old in his loan spell at Championship side Ipswich.
After Ipswich's 3-1 win over neighbours Norwich, in which Roberts was instrumental, club president Sir Bobby said: "My man of the match was Roberts.
"He spelt danger every time he had the ball and Norwich could not get him under control. "The lad can play and I was very impressed."
