Blackburn Rovers have played down newspaper reports linking them with a January swoop for West Bromwich Albion's Jason Koumas.
The former Tranmere star, who is well known to Rovers boss Mark Hughes following their time together with Wales, has been in fine form for Albion so far this season.
However, though his name has been mentioned by Hughes in the past, the Rovers chief is thought to have other more pressing priorities at this moment in time and may therefore focus his search elsewhere.
Stories of moves for the Argentine striker Marco Ruben and the Egyptian forward Amr Zaki are also thought to be wide of the mark.
Would Koumas be a good acquisition? Submit your comments below.
