A TEENAGER with a long criminal record is in custody awaiting sentence after admitting robbery, at Burnley Crown Court.
Samuel Hoaken, 18, of Eastgate, Whitworth, also pleaded guilty to racially aggravated common assault and having an offensive weapon. The defendant, said to have been "significantly inebriated" at the time, held something towards victim Wajid Hussain, but could not say what it was, the court was told.
Hoaken's counsel said he had had a lighter and mobile phone but did not have the knife on him until after the robbery.
