A CHARITY auction has raised £1,521 for the Christie Hospital.
The event, organised by Brian White, in memory of his wife Gloria, was held at Bacup Borough FC.
Grandmother-of-two, Gloria, 55, originally from South Africa, died after a three-year battle with cancer on April 25, 2007.
She was a big sports fan and worked as a domestic cleaner at Whitworth School under Lancashire County Council.
Her husband, Brian, 70, of Tong Lane, Whitworth, held an auction which included a Burnley shirt, and other sporting memorabilia.
All cash raised will go to Dr Mark Saunders' Gastrointestinal Colorectal Cancer Fund at The Christie Hospital
