I noticed a group of young people sitting on the path down from Darwen Tower having a laugh and drink, and watching the fire brigade attending to the fire on the moor.
It’s nice to see young people making the effort to get some fresh air and exercise.
It’s just a shame they left the place like a pigsty with beer bottles, cans and other litter along the path and around the tower.
Maybe there is no hope for Darwen when some people seem to enjoy creating and living in filth.
No doubt they are following examples set by their parents and friends, or is it just that we live in such an uncaring and lazy society nowadays?
