WHY is it that people with pushchairs think that the disabled bays on buses (a sign denotes this) are there for the parking of their prams?
The bays are for people in wheelchairs and anyone who is severely disabled, not prams.
I once saw someone in a wheelchair who was left behind, because they could not access the bus because a pushchair was parked in the disabled bay.
The parents of this child were well aware of the situation, but did nothing about it.
They should have folded up the pushchair and sat the child on their knees. I thought they were very selfish.
Drivers on buses should make people remove their pushchairs from the disabled bay if someone is in a wheelchair is wanting to travel on the bus, no way should they be expected to wait for the next bus.
