WITH reference to the article (LT, January 12) about Councillor Rose Connor advocating the use of Clitheroe window boxes to grow vegetables.
Last June my husband and I holidayed in the Dordogne in France.
We visited a town called Caliors where all the town gardens were given over to growing fruit and vegetables.
It looks lovely and all edible, plus it was educational – each item had a plaque telling us about it.
So how about it, Lancashire towns?
WE BYSH, Darwen.
