AS AN ex-employee of a Water Authority, with more than 20 years service, I support and applaud Hyndburn Council’s stance against fluoridation of our public water.

Several years ago I made my concerns known over the possible amendments of the Water Act to allow fluoride, ie hexafluorosilicic acid, to be added to our water supply.

Such amendments will allow the water companies impunity from prosecution when adding such vile poison to our supplies, if directed by the local health authorities.

These authorities are not elected, unlike a government, of which we have the power to change by the ballot box.

The Dutch have not only banned fluoride, but they have made it illegal to add fluoride to water.

Our inane and vacuous Labour Government (I have voted for them for about for 50 years, but no more) appear to be hellbent on poisoning us with this vile toxic chemical.

During my service I purchased the many and varied chemicals used both for water purification and sewage treatment to remove harmful bacterial etc, chemicals to purify but not to medicate!

Putting fluoride into everyone’s water supply, no hiding places, amounts to mass medication which possibly contravenes medical ethics and our human rights.

May I suggest that diet or a less than complacent attitude or attention to dental hygiene, is the author of dental decay.
