SO our financial chief, Mr Darling, has finally admitted that the UK economy is in dire straits.

It’s also looking like we now face the “mother of all recessions” with people’s utility bills going through the roof together with the taxes we pay.

The national debt, which the UK has been trying to reduce for the last 63 years, will, by the end of this year, have nearly doubled since New Labour came to power, placing us near the bottom of the world debt league.

All this extra debt is despite many of our schools and hospitals now being financed by private finance (PFI).

We’ve had weapons of mass destruction and have been involved in two overseas wars.

And we’ve had political fat-cats, spin and the plundering of taxpayers’ pensions to the tune of around £6 billion a year.

There’s been Parliamentary contempt for the electorate over Europe and a dictatorial establishment.

New Labour’s failings are almost endless. Do they have no shame?

This country is now worse off than in 1997 and Labour still think taxpayers are a bottomless pit.

It was Benjamin Disraeli who said: “There is no treachery or meanness a political party is not prepared to sink to. For in politics there is no honour.”

Welcome everyone to Blue Labour’s “heavenly body”.
