RECENTLY I paid a visit to three cemeteries, Ford Cemetery, Liverpool which was immaculate. I then visited Darwen eastern cemetery and then on to Darwen old cemetery. On going through the gates of the old cemetery I was disgusted at what I saw.
Whoever is in charge of this cemetery needs to hang their head in shame.
It is an absolute disgrace and saddens me to think the people who are laid to rest have done a lot during their working lives for Darwen. They deserve better. The roads are an utter disgrace.
It is about time someone got their act together.
