REGARDING the suggestion by two war veterans to move the War Memorial from Towneley Park to Burnley town centre.
I strongly disagree with this idea. The war msemorial is in a secluded natural setting where one can be at peace with one's thoughts whilst visiting it. There are no people to vandalise it, no distractions nor noise.
A lovely setting indeed.
Please leave well alone.
