I have osteoarthritis in my right hip and both knees: they are painful all the time, but the pain is worsened and I come out in spots if I eat fruit. I don’t smoke, drink alcohol or drink coffee. Can you suggest anything to help me?
First, have you considered joint replacement surgery? If you have pain all the time that suggests that the arthritis is bad enough for a review by your GP with a view to surgery. I’m stumped by your reaction to ‘fruit’. Usually people don’t react badly to all sorts of fruit – but only to one kind. Can you not try eating one fruit at a time until you find the one (or very rarely ones) that you rally do react to.
