The Mayors of Chorley and South Ribble joined forces to officially open four fully-furnished show homes at Buckshaw Village.

The new urban village, which straddles the boundaries of Chorley and South Ribble Borough Councils, is the first to feature Redrow’s New Heritage Collection, laun-ched nationally this month.

The homes are influenced by the Arts and Crafts era.

Coun Iris Smith, Mayor of Chorley, and Coun Don Parkinson, Mayor of South Ribble, cut the ribbon on the four show homes, at The Village Green phase of Buckshaw Village, during an event attended by local estate agents, solicitors and other property professionals from the area.

Christine Aitken, sales director of Redrow Homes, said: “The new homes were designed with the help of feedback from our customers and consumer focus groups.

“Some of the key architectural influences, styles, shapes, colours and textures reflected in the Arts and Crafts movement have been brought right up to date with high-specification interiors.”
