A BID is being made to revive the fortunes of a cafe bar venture in the middle of Ramsbottom.

Administrators were called in for the XLII Ramsbottom Cafe Wine Bar in Bolton Street, just before Christmas.

But a notification has now been issued by Susan Greenwood, a director of the company, to trade again from the town centre site.

The proposed new company would be known as the Ramsbottom Wine Bar Ltd, according to a London Gazette notice.

An official notice to creditors of the XLII company of her intentions to carry on all or part of the former business is required under insolvency rules.

The original wine bar company was first incorporated in March 2015. Plans have also recently been unveiled to convert the old RBS Bank nearby into a wine bar.
