Police have launched an investigation after an elderly dementia sufferer died from hypothermia.
Vera Cranfield, 80, from Westfield Road, Staining, was taken to Blackpool Victoria Hospital on Saturday, December 6, where she was diagnosed with the condition and died a short time later.
A spokesperson from Lancashire Police, said: "The investigation is focusing around concerns of neglect by her carer."
Mrs Cranfield, also suffered from restricted mobility.
A post mortem will be carried out later today.
