CAMPAIGNERS hoping to save Blackburn's Shadsworth Leisure Centre are set to meet council bosses tonight.
The facility has been earmarked for closure as part of Blackburn with Darwen’s £4million cost-cutting plans.
At a meeting last week the plans were delayed after the council voted to refer them back to the ruling executive board, meaning alternative options must be reconsidered.
Tory council leader Mike Lee is expected to meet campaigners Terry Moorby, Sylvia Liddle and Zoe Taylor, who runs a dance school at the centre, as well as ward councillor Jim Shorrock.
Users have already offered to pay to use the facilities at the centre if it would help make it financially viable.
But council bosses say finding a solution is unlikely.
