A DVD which takes an honest look at issues that matter to young people in Pendle has been launched.
The 'Missed Opportunity’ educational DVD has been produced by a group of young people from the borough.
Over the past twelve weeks, they have been involved in a project funded by Lancashire Constabulary and Lancashire County Council's Young People's Service.
The aim of the project was to take a short film produced earlier and develop this into an educational resource.
The group worked closely with a local production company, The Reverb Factory, to develop the DVD.
These young people interviewed representatives from a number of local and regional organisations who support young people on a variety of issues including bullying, violence, racism, alcohol, anti-social behaviour and knife crime.
Speaking at the launch of the DVD at The Rainhall Centre, Barnoldswick, Josh Butler, 18, said: "the DVD has given us a great opportunity to get across the message that there is help out there for young people faced with difficult issues and people want to help."
Charlotte Lyle, 15, added: "I enjoyed being part of the team working on the package.
"We all learned new skills and built up our confidence. It was amazing."
The DVD and educational package will be available at the end of May and anyone interested in obtaining a copy can contact Sam Smithurst or Noreen Boyle at Pendle Young People's Service 01028 613067.
