A SERIAL drink-driver from Barnoldswick who was caught twice over the limit has been banned for three years and ordered to do 100 hours’ unpaid work.
Robert Anthony Khan was stopped in Thornton-in-Craven in the early hours of February 14, Skipton magistrates heard.
He was found to have 74 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath. The legal limit is 35.
He admitted the offence.
Khan, 56, of Gisburn Street, had three convictions for drink-driving and four for failing to provide a specimen.
He also had 36 convictions for driving while banned and 22 for driving without insurance.
Magistrates agreed he could take part in a drink drivers’ rehabilitation course which, if completed, will reduce his ban by a quarter.
