A BLACKBURN man who sexually assaulted a woman employee and pulled the hair of another female at a solicitors office has been jailed.

Paul Thompson was described as being drunk, very loud and lairy after being told his solicitor was not available to speak to him.

Preston Crown Court heard that he then sexually assaulted a woman before pulling the hair of an outraged female who saw what had happened.

Thompson, 42, of Preston New Road, Blackburn, was jailed for four months after pleading guilty to sexual assault and common assault.

He will be on the sex offenders’ register for seven years.

Kirsten McAteer, prosecuting, said he had been drinking from an open bottle of red wine.

He pinned a woman against the wall and gyrated himself against her.

Another female, outraged by what was happening, moved towards him and he grabbed her hair.

Michael Hayton, defending, said what happened was clearly a breach of trust.

He added: “He doesn’t have a strong recollection of what took place”.
