A UNIT that provides extra teaching space at Tor View Community Primary School, in Clod Lane, Haslingden, is set to be retained.
Catherine Lewis, environment directorate at Lancashire County Council, said: “The school was due to have a substantial capital project as part of the Building Schools for the Future initiative but this has been cancelled due to the current economic difficulties.
“However, as the permission for the existing temporary demountable has expired, the applicant has been advised to reapply to regularise the current situation.”
County councillors are set to grant permission for the unit to remain in place for a further two years.
