PEOPLE are invited to discuss their favourite books during a book club at Darwen Library.
The First Saturday Book Club looks at the advantages of reading, and discussing, books in an informal setting.
Library staff attend, and members choose the books they think they will enjoy reading, and discuss them at the next session.
Coun John Milburn, Blackburn with Darwen Council executive member for leisure and culture, said: "We hope that people who use the borough's libraries not only enjoy the reading element of books, but also discussing their personal findings of a particular good read.
"It doesn't matter if you haven't much time to read as the sessions are monthly and you don't have to read all of a book, or even like it."
Sessions are from 3pm to 4pm on the first Saturday of each month, and open to anyone aged 16 or over.
