A Chatburn vicar is contacting families after a number of headstones were intentionally toppled because of health and safety fears.
Canon Rodney Nicholson of Chatburn Christ Church, Sawley Road, warned people to keep away from damaged or fallen headstones in case of injury.
The families responsible would be asked to rectify the broken gravestones.
