Plans for this year's Rishton Festival are under way, with a parade through the streets opening the events.
The festival will be held on Saturday August 12. Parade participants will first assemble at Cutt Wood Park and have their fancy dress costumes judged.
At 11.30pm the Batala Samba Band will lead the parade to the Harwood Road recreation ground.
Performances by local artists, a talent competition, children's rides, a tug of war contest and over 20 stalls will keep visitors to the festival entertained.
