PENDLE Council is to stump up £10,000 to promote Higherford Mill ahead of its possible TV makeover.
Almost £50,000 is to be spent marketing Higherford Mill, Barrowford, as part of the building's bid to win Restoration Village.
The mill is one of three buildings from the North West bidding for viewers' votes in the series fronted by Griff Rhys Jones, to be aired in September.
Now members of the council's executive have agreed to put £10,000 towards the costs of raising its profile and dealing with extra visitors.
Executive member for regeneration Coun David Whipp said the mill's restoration would be a huge boost for the borough's tourism industry.
He said: "I think it is another example of the excellence we have in Pendle.
"It is an unique opportunity to sell the area and bring people in to the area to show some of the jewels we have."
The building, saved from demolition in 1999 by the Heritage Trust for the North West, is now to be restored.
Around £2million is needed to bring back the waterwheel at the mill, and to restore the imposing building.
