A Blackburn pensioner died in hospital after an operation, an inquest was told.
Anne Cookson, 81, of Tarbert Crescent, died at the Royal Blackburn Hospital on July 18.
Coroner's officer PC Lynne Farnworth told the inquest at Blackburn that the pensioner had an operation to drain a cyst at Royal Preston Hospital and was transferred to Royal Blackburn Hospital on July 17.
A post mortem examination has been carried out but the inquest was adjourned until October 3 by coroner Michael Singleton while further tests are conducted.
