A RUNDOWN mill in the centre of Padiham could be the focus of legal action unless the owners take remedial action.
Councillors in Gawthorpe ward had petitioned borough council chief Steve Rumbelow over the state of Perseverance Mill, off Dryden Street.
Residents have frequently complained about fly-tipping and vermin associated with the site, which has been partially demolished.
And Coun Andy Tatchell has now confirmed that, along with councillors John Harbour and Frank Cant, he has met with Mr Rumbelow over the mill’s poor condition.
He told a council meeting: “Hopefully we will see some progress with it in the near future. It is a complete eyesore.
“Legal action is being thrashed out and I am sure residents will be glad to hear that.”
