A TEENAGER is due to appear before Blackburn Magistrates’ Court today charged with a serious assault that left another man in a coma.
Jason Reilly, 19, of Morley Avenue, Mill Hill, Blackburn, has been charged with section 18 wounding with intent.
He was arrested on Tuesday by detectives investigating the incident which happened in Queen Victoria Street, Mill Hill, Blackburn, at 2am on Sunday.
The victim, a 26-year-old from Accrington, was felled by a single punch and hit his head on the road.
Police said he remained in a medically induced coma with ‘life threatening head injuries’ at Royal Blackburn Hospital.
