TWO Nelson men appeared in court in Scotland after almost 10,000 diazepam tablets were found in their car.
Police found the haul in a routine check on a motorway in Scotland last October.
Danny Knight, 31, of Halifax Road, admitted being concerned in the supply of the drug near Lockerbie when he appeared before Dumfries Sherrif Court on Tuesday.
He had been given the pills, with a street value of about £9,000, to take into Scotland. He will be sentenced on June 16.
The court was told Knight was a passenger in the car when it was stopped.
The driver, Nasir Hayat, 37, of Railway Street, admitted using the vehicle without insurance and was fined £160 and banned for six months under the totting-up procedure.
