BURGLARS made off with items worth more than £10,000 from a Darwen house.
They smashed into the Bolton Road terrace property between 9am and 2.20pm on Wednesday, police said.
The raiders fled with a £3,500 Brother embroidery machine, a £700 Sony Bravia 40ins TV and a 42ins LG TV worth £800.
Other electrical items and jewellery brought the value to £10,710.
Det Sgt Ian Geogarty said: “The offenders made a very untidy search of this property and a lot of items were stolen.
"The occupants are very upset and distressed.”
