Darwem Councillor Dave Smith today distanced himself from the growing saga of missing flowers from outside the Town Hall.
Darwen resident Pat Garsden told the Lancashire Evening Telegraph last week that: "Coun David Smith said he flowers would be returned."
But Coun Smith said: "I have not been involved at all and have had no queries or complaints nor spoken to Mrs Garsden."
